The marquee regatta, taking place September 23-October 1 at Nathan Benderson Park, is the highlight of the international rowing calendar, featuring nearly 2,000 athletes from 70 countries. Organizers expect the event to generate $25 million in economic impact for Sarasota and Manatee counties combined.

The fun gets started on the evening of September 23 with a spectacular and free Opening Ceremony for the community at Nathan Benderson Park. On competition days, racing generally starts around 10:00 a.m. and concludes around 2:00 p.m. For information on tickets, volunteering and how to become an on-site vendor, please visit http://wrch2017.com/

Ed Chiles is proud to have been selected as the co-chair of the event representing Manatee County and we look forward to welcoming the athletes, families and spectators from around the world to our area.
