Chuck Caudill
Singer, songwriter Chuck Caudill is celebrating his 25th year performing for the Chiles Group, primarily at the BeachHouse Restaurant, but also doing a couple of nights a week at the Sandbar as well. Chuck started out in music as a single acoustic guitar/vocal act and met up with former partner John Prestia. After a 9 year career with The Chuck and John Group performing original and top 40 music, Chuck left to form China Moon, only to turn back to a smaller format with bassist Lloyd Harper as the Tropicats. After 13 years Lloyd left for Nashville and the circle was complete. Two C.D's later; the first, a compilation of Sandbar deck favorites sold out quickly, to be followed by the recent "Time to Play" an original collection, now available onstage and in gift shops. 5 nights a week, either at the BeachHouse or Sandbar, hear Chuck perform his own songs as well as Island favorites, classic acoustic tunes, and oldies mixed with light jazz favorites as the sun sinks into the Gulf. Randy Marsh and Mark Waelti
Guitarist Randy Marsh and bassist Mark Waelti team up in 1986 to form the musical duo "R.P.M", an have been entertaining Florida's West Coast ever since. Mark, born in Illinois but raised in Florida, and Randy an Indiana native, met in the early 1980's while each was performing in the Sarasota area. An opportunity to team up arose in 1986 and led to the duos formation. When confronted with the need for a name, an old box of 45rpm records held the answer. And this was the beginning of one of the longest running musical partnerships in the area. With an eclectic mix of musical styles, folk, rock, blues, country, and beachy island music blend into an evening of fun and relaxation. Randy and Mark currently do nearly 300 shows a year in Florida, along with occasional shows across the country to perform at musical festivals.
Their C.D. releases, "On the Rocks" and "Souvenir" are available on stage at each show, and will be followed in the near future by a third, as yet untitled CD. R.P.M is currently appearing at the Sandbar Restaurant, 100 Spring Ave, on Anna Maria every Wednesday evening weather permitting.
John Dewey
John Dewey has been one of the Chiles Groups' mainstay performers for over five years. Strolling wirelessly among patrons at the BeachHouse and Sandbar restaurants, he entertains with effortless panache'. He has
