Easter Egg Hunts at the Sandbar and Mar Vista

March 30, 2010

Looking for family fun this weekend? If so, we invite you and your children to join us this Saturday, April 3rd for the Annual Easter Egg Hunts at both the Sandbar at 9am and the Mar Vista at 10am! We pulled some serious strings to get he Easter Bunny himself to make an appearance at both locations. He will also be posing for pictures with the kids (and any adults who simply cannot resist having a little fun). This year we will be emailing complimentary copies of these digital photographs.

The Easter Bunny will also make a special appearance at the Easter Egg Roll which will be at 315 Pine Avenue after the Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt. Look for Pine Avenue businesses to be providing treats as well. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to kids 10 and under. Be sure to bring a bag or a basket for “the kids” to carry away all of their treasures.

We caught up with the Easter Bunny during a break from stuffing eggs and sat down with him for a very special interview. We asked him what exactly a giant bunny has to do with eggs and Easter. The Easter Bunny told us that rabbits, those prolific creatures, and eggs are ancient symbols used to celebrate the coming of spring and the rebirth of plants and flowers. Now, kids and adults all over the world love decorating, hiding, and finding eggs and indulging in candy.

For more information on the Sandbar Easter Egg Hunt at the Pine Avenue Easter Parade and Egg Roll call 941-778-8705. For more information on the Mar Vista Easter Egg Hunt call 941-383-2391. Also, don’t forget either the Sandbar or Mar Vista for dinner. The Sandbar, The BeachHouse and the Mar Vista will all be serving Easter Specials in addition to their regular menus.

We hope that you will come by and celebrate Easter with us this year.
