The votes are tallied and the results are in. The Bradenton Herald Reader’s Choice Awards have been announced! It is like the Oscar equivalent for all the local businesses waiting with bated breath to see who readers picked as their favorites. We are happy to have been recognized in several categories. First of all, congratulations to our Sandbar Wedding and Event staff led by Wedding Coordinator, Patti McKee for receiving the award for #1 Favorite Wedding Venue. The Sandbar Wedding and Event Pavilion is the perfect place for a wedding or special event situated directly on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, toes in the sand, delicious custom menus to choose from and an expert, experienced staff that will make your event seem, well, seamless and one that will be remembered by you and your guests for years to come.
To put the icing on the cake, Sandbar Wedding and Event Coordinator, Patti McKee, was recognized as the #2 Favorite Wedding Planner in all of Manatee County. She was surprised but we weren’t and from what we understand it was a close race. With more than 1000 weddings to her credit throughout the 16 years she has been helping create lifetime memories, Patti has been the consummate professional and stress reducer when it comes to helping brides and grooms create the wedding of their dreams. She sends a big thank you to everyone who voted for her!
The Sandbar and Beach House took first place and second place respectively in the #1 Favorite Place to Watch the Sunset category! If you have ever been here for a sunset you know why…spectacular is an understatement!
Another one of our affiliated business was also recognized by the Bradenton Herald readers. The Studio at Gulf and Pine, Anna Maria Island’s cultural art gallery and event facility was recognized as the #1 Favorite Art Studio. The Studio offers an eclectic array of exhibits, instructional classes, lectures with the Einstein Circle and serves as a salon where artists and art aficionados interact. Founded in 2011 by former First Lady of Florida, Rhea Chiles, part of the Studio’s permanent collection consists of the Chiles family collection of paintings which hung in the governor’s office. Equipped with a theater film projection room, and spanning nearly 4,000 square feet, The Studio welcomes artists, poets, musicians, performers and writers to exhibit their talents and exchange ideas as well as serving as the perfect indoor event space for weddings, receptions, meetings or gathering space for friends or family. If you haven’t been to the Studio you should visit this unique art gallery. A new exhibit is shown every three weeks. For info visit www.studioatgulfandpine.com.
