Pine Avenue - just a short walk from the Sandbar - is looking better than ever with the recent renovations undertaken by The Pine Avenue Restoration Project (PAR), set to complete its 3rd and 4th buildings by February 15th. PAR is dedicated to its mission of both maintaining the original vision for a Pine Avenue promenade and to protecting the critical and extremely limited “historic boutique business district” - a key element in keeping Anna Maria distinct from a high-rise commercial district. Boutique businesses are those unique, locally owned and operated businesses which are also committed to the preservation of the local community. The Pine Avenue Restoration Project is proud to announce that the Anna Maria Olive Oil Outpost (formerly The Sarasota Olive Oil Company) will be its newest tenant.
The Anna Maria Olive Oil Outpost will feature both pre-bottled Extra Virgin Olive Oils from around the world and bulk private label Olive Oil (bring your own container) in addition to gourmet items including: pastas, vinegars, pestos, tapenades, crackers, spices, peppers, sea salts and, of course, olives. The small, quaint store will also stock soaps, and most products will be available in both pre-packaged and bulk quantities. Store owner Kelly Kary stated, “I am really very excited to become a part of the revitalization of Anna Maria’s boutique retail district. The Olive Oil Outpost will mirror the feel and energy of this wonderful community. The Pine Avenue Restoration Project attracted my attention because it is a great fit for Anna Maria showing how well the residential and business communities can work together. Being a pioneer of the Rosemary District in Sarasota with the Sarasota Olive Oil Company, I know how positive energy can help build a strong community.”
